WHITE COLNE COMMUNITY DESIGN GROUP
MINUTES OF MEETING: MONDAY 6TH JULY 2009
1. Meeting attended by Sarah Adlem (Chair), Martin Allison, Colin Ellard, Richard Gourlay, Peter Norris, Chris Pearcey, Rita Pearcey (Sec), Dawn Trusson and we were joined by Jan Cole from RCCE.
2. QUESTIONNAIRE
Jan was able to join us for the first hour of the meeting and, with her advice and written feedback received from Emma Boaler from BDC on our draft questionnaire, the Group spent almost three hours reviewing all the questions, amending and adding new ones where necessary.
Discussed the importance of getting as much feedback on the questionnaire as possible before going to print and our July delivery deadline does not allow sufficient time to do this. Delivery during July would also run into the summer holiday period which could adversely affect the number of responses we are hoping for. Decided to postpone delivery until September. Members of the Group will need to knock on doors to deliver the appropriate number of questionnaires to each household and call
? back to collect them at an agreed time. Timing and delivery arrangements to be decided at next meeting.
? Residents who return their questionnaires by a date to be decided will be entered
into a draw for a prize of £100. Similarly for the Young Peoples Questionnaire with a £20 prize.
RP Rita will amend the questionnaire with the changes agreed at the meeting and circulate
for feedback to Parish Councillors and people who attended the Photo-
PN/ Maps need to be included in the questionnaire and Peter mentioned that John was
JW having difficulty in getting a map showing the village envelope and conservation area from BDC in a format we can use. Sarah suggested asking Jan for help with this.
Peter will speak to John.
3. CHARACTER ASSESSMENT

Pheasant Character Assessment and completed Church Farm, Bures Road -

RG/ assessment outstanding -
JW leave the meeting at 8.30 unable to ask about progress on this. Work is in progress
ALL summarising the other character assessments.
